Save

Click “Save” from the “File” menu, to save the changes made to the current image that is displayed. Shortcut: Ctrl + S

Save As

To save an image without overwriting the original image you can use “Save As” from the “File” menu. This will save the current image that is displayed to the file name that you select.

Shell Edit

This will open the file with the registered program for that file type.

Previous

“Previous” will load the image before the current selected one. To move to the previous image you can press the left arrow key on the keyboard. Shortcut: Left Arrow

Next

“Next” will load the next image in the file list. To move to the next image you can press the right arrow key on the keyboard. Shortcut: Right Arrow

Print

This function will print the selected images. To select multiple images hold down the shift key and select the thumbnail images then click “Print” from the “File” menu.

In the print dialog box you can select what device to print to, by selecting the print from the pull down list of printers connected to your computer. Shortcut: Ctrl + P

Exit

F12 is a shortcut to exit the program.

Copy

This will send the current displayed image to the clipboard, where later in another program you can paste it from the clipboard. Shortcut: Ctrl + X

Paste

This will paste an image from the clipboard to the current displayed image. Shortcut: Ctrl + V

Move To

To move the selected image file use “Move To”. A directory browser will appear and then you can select the folder that you want to move the file to. Shortcut: Ctrl + M

Copy To

To copy the selected image file use “Copy To”. A directory browser will appear and then you can select the folder that you want to copy the file to. Shortcut: Ctrl + C

Delete

To delete the selected image file use “Delete” from the edit menu. Shortcut: Shift + Delete

Rename

To rename the selected image file use “Rename” from the edit menu. A text box will appear under the thumbnail and there you can change the name. Shortcut: Ctrl + R

Create New Folder

To create a new folder click “Edit”, “Folder” and “Create New Folder”. It will create a new folder in the current directory.

Move Folder

To move the current folder use “Move Folder”. A directory browser will appear and then you can select the directory that you want to move the folder to.

Copy Folder

To copy the current folder use “Copy Folder”. A directory browser will appear and then you can select the directory that you want to copy the folder to.

Delete Folder

To delete a folder click “Edit”, “Folder” and “Delete Folder”. It will delete the current open folder.

Rename Folder

To rename the current folder click “Edit”, “Folder” and “Rename Folder”. An input box will appear and there you change the name.

Display

This will hide or display the current image displayed.

Explorer

This will hide or display the directory explorer, on the left hand side.

Refresh

Refresh will reload the image and all thumbnails in the selected directory.

Full Screen

To display an image without the explorer or thumbnail view, user the “Full Screen” function by clicking “View”, “Full Screen”. Shortcut: Enter

Slide Show

The “Slide Show” will display images in the active directory in random, descending and ascending. It starts or stops the slide show. Click the “Slide Show” icon. Shortcut: F7

File Type

The file type can be set on the file list to filter out image formats. To select a file type click “View”, “File Type” and then the file type you want. To display all file types select “*.*”

Zoom In

The zoom in function will enlarge the display of the image. Shortcut: Arrow Up Key

Zoom Out

The zoom out function will shrink the display of the image. Shortcut: Arrow Down Key

Zoom to original size 100%

Click “View” then “Zoom” and “100%”. This will resize the image to its original size. Shortcut: F8

Fit to Screen

Click “View” then “Zoom” and “Fit to Screen”. This will resize the image to fit the current display. Shortcut: Ctrl F

Mover

This is the mode for the mouse to move the image around on the screen.

Select

This will allow you to select a section of the current image.

Select All

This will automatically select the entire image.

Crop

First select a section of the image and then click ”Crop” in the “Tools”. This will reduce the image to the selected area.

Resize Image

To resize an image you can either move the resize handles on the sides of the image or click “Resize Image” in “Tools”

Flip Horizontal

This function will flip the current image horizontal. First select the select the image from the thumbnails and then click the “Flip Horizontal” from “Tools”.

Flip Vertical

This function will flip the current image vertical. First select the image from the thumbnails and then click the “Flip Vertical” from “Tools”.

Grey Scaling

This effect will turn all the colours in the selected image to a grey scaling. Click “Tools”, “Color” and “Grey Scaling”.

RGB Balance

This function can adjust the red, green and blue in the image. Click “Tools”, “Colour” and “RGB Balance”.

Brightness

This function can adjust the brightness of the image. Click “Tools”, “Colour” and “Brightness”.

Replace

This function will replace a selected colour with another selected colour in the displayed image. Click “Tools”, “Colour” and “Replace”.

Smooth

This function will smooth the image currently displayed. Click “Tools” and “Smooth”. To save the change to the image, use the “Save As” function.

Sharpen

This function will sharpen the image currently displayed. Click “Tools” and “Sharpen”. To save the change to the image, use the “Save As” function.

Emboss

This function will emboss the image currently displayed. Click “Tools” and “Emboss”. To save the change to the image, use the “Save As” function.

Diffuse

This function will diffuse the image currently displayed. Click “Tools” and “Diffuse”. To save the change to the image, use the “Save As” function.

Invert

This function will invert the image currently displayed. Click “Tools” and “Invert”. To save the change to the image, use the “Save As” function.

Solarize

This function will solarize the image currently displayed. Click “Tools” and “Solarize”. To save the change to the image, use the “Save As” function.

Rename in Order

To rename the images in the current folder, Click “Edit” and “Rename in Order”, Then reorder the thumbnail images by dragging and dropping then in to the order that you want. After the order of the thumbnail images are correct then you can enter in a name prefix for them and click “Rename”. The images will be renamed like X001, X002, X003 and so on. X is representing the prefix tat you entered. The changes will be save automatically.

Resize Multiple Images

Select the image that you want to resize or the folder and click “Tools” and “Resize Multiple Images”. Enter in the size that you want them to be resized to and click “Ok”.

Rotate

To rotate an image click “Tools” and “Rotate”. Select the degree that you want to rotate the image and click “Rotate”.

Image Blend

To blend two images together click “Tools” and “Image Blend”. Select the two images to be blended and click “Blend”.

Set as Wallpaper

This will set your desktop wallpaper to the current image being displayed.

Undo

Click Undo to reverse the last action that you preformed on the current image.

Register Online

This will take you to a website where you can register Nexus Imager online. After registering you will receive a registration code.

Enter Registration code

First you need to “Register Online” or use the other methods. Then click “Help” and “Enter Registration Code”. For more information go to License, Ordering and Support

A dialog box will display and ask you to enter your email address (the same email address that the registration code was sent to.), click “Ok”. Then the second dialog box will ask you to enter your registration code, click “Ok” and if a message box displays “You have successfully registered Nexus Imager” then the registration is complete. Both dialog boxes are case sensitive, so enter the email address and registration code, exactly the way that they appear.
