What is FrontPage Extensions? Frontpage Extensions are a set of server-side applications that enable you to incorporate the following advanced features without having to write the complex server-side programs typically required. Collaborate simultaneously with other users on the same Web site. Create a Web page directly on a Web server. Save directly to a Web server when using Office programs. Include these FrontPage components on your sites: link bars, top 10 lists, form handlers, discussions, full text searches, hit counters, and categories. Frontpage 2002 extensions SharePoint Team Services for Frontpage 2002 Connecting to upload your files Before you connect you must ensure you comply with two things.
Step 1 Make sure you are connected to the Internet, and open Frontpage
Step 2 Click on "File" and then "Open Web" to connect to your domain on the web server. Type in http://www.yourdomain.com. Once you have done this click "Open" in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
Step 3 You will now be prompted for your username and password via a dialog box. When prompted enter the username and password specified on your welcome email. If this message does not appear it can be for 2 reasons. Either your domain is not resolving or Frontpage Extensions have been corrupted on your domain. If your domain is resolving and it is not working you will need to contact support to get them to install Frontpage Extensions on your domain.
Troubleshooting If you can not connect to Frontpage and your domain is resolving and receive an error message similar to below you will need to contact support, there is also an option in the control panel which does a reinstall of Frontpage, however, this does not always work particularly if the issues are permissions related.
